Prefinery Sub-processors

Last revised: December 13, 2023

Overview

To support Prefinery in delivering its Services, Prefinery may engage third party service providers to assist Prefinery with its data processing activities. When we work with these service providers in our capacity as a data processor, the third-party service provider is a sub-processor of Prefinery ("Sub-processor").

This page identifies the Sub-processor and what services they provide to us. Before engaging any Sub-processor, we perform extensive due diligence, including detailed security and legal analysis. We do not engage a Sub-processor unless our quality standards are met. Our Sub-processors are all subject to contract terms that enforce compliance with applicable data protection laws.

List of Sub-processors for End User Data

Below is a list of Sub-processors we work with to process end user data. End users are individuals that use goods and services provided by Prefinery customers. If you interact with Prefinery in the course of participating in a prelaunch campaign or referral program for a particular product or service, you are probably an end user.

Sub-processor Service Provided Location

Mezmo, Inc. ("Mezmo") Log analysis and monitoring USA

  1. MaxMind provides publicly-available location information about End Users including city, state/region, postal code and country based on an End Users' IP address. End User Data (IP address) is shared with MaxMind only in the case of adding End Users via our REST API and only when an End Users' IP address is provided by you. Furthermore, you can disable sharing End User Data (IP address) with MaxMind by disabling the "IP Address Geolocation" feature for each project within the Service, as described here.
  2. You can disable sharing End User Data with Postmark by configuring each project in the Service to send all email through your own SMTP servers.

Updating Sub-processors

Our business needs may change from time to time. For example, we may deprecate a Sub-processor to consolidate and minimize our use of Sub-processors. Similarly, we may add a Sub-processor if we believe that doing so will enhance our ability to deliver our Services. We will periodically update this page to reflect additions and removals to our list of Sub-processors.
